Zine Review: *BRAVE LOVE* by Romi Foster

*Brave Love* by Romi Foster

Brave Love is a custom-made little storybook created by Romi Foster @ Where the Writer Comes to Write. You can buy these cute 'zines' online through Romi's Etsy store: willowsandwhispers.

The story is about a girl who is different.
She likes the wrong sort of music, wears the wrong sort of shoes.
She has trouble making friends but stays brave and strong with her beliefs and interests.
It's a story about self-identity, strength of character, courage, growth and self-love.

The book was very well formatted with endearingly hand-drawn pictures mingled between short clusters of poetic prose.
Because it was handwritten, some words were a little hard to decipher, but I did manage - remembering that the books (even though it may be the same) look slightly different each time. Such is the beauty of hand crafted artistry!

The colours make it very youthful and the whole zine concept is super adorable. I think children aged 4-11 years would love these.

I give Brave Love a rating of 6.5/10
