I wanted to post something a bit more exciting today, something different than my usual new on my bookshelf's or book reviews. So I googled 'fun bookish surveys' and the first result that popped up was one created by The Perpetual Page Turner. If you want to do this too, then I tag YOU! Link me in the comments or on my social media to your post so I can go and check it out :)
On y va.
Author you’ve read the most books from:
Sophie Kinsella, and I think Louise Rennison comes second!
Best Sequel Ever:
You know, I really enjoyed the sequel to Pollyanna, and still remember fond memories from reading it back in my early high school days.
Currently Reading:
Nothing! I just finished a book yesterday, and I haven't chosen what I'll read next.
Drink of Choice While Reading:
Tea or water. There's nothing better than water sometimes. Other times, there's nothing better than tea. Rooibos tea, specifically.
E-reader or Physical Book?
I PLEDGE TO READ THE PRINTED WORD.
Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:
Oooh. Actually, no one springs to mind. Literally. Can't name a soul. Also, I'm thinking about an ideal world, where someone would have actually wanted to date me in high school.
Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:
Harry Potter & the Philosopher's Stone. Because DOY.
Hidden Gem Book:
A Corner of White by Jaclyn Moriarty
Important Moment in your Reading Life:
Reading a whole novel start to finish in one day, for the first time (and I think, for the only time, so far!) - that book was Finding Cassie Crazy by Jaclyn Moriarty.
Just Finished:
Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella
Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:
Crime/Thrillers or Horror/Gore. Also, a lot of non-fiction. Ha!
Longest Book You’ve Read:
Probably A Game of Thrones by George RR Martin?
Major book hangover because of:
What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty
Number of Bookcases You Own:
2. One is smaller and organised in colour order, and then the other is in alphabetical order.
One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:
Pepper Dreams by Colin Thompson.
Preferred Place To Read:
Anywhere cozy and quiet.
Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:
“I love my mom so much. I don't care if that's corny to say. I think on my next birthday, I'm going to buy her a present. I think that should be the tradition. the kid gets gifts from everybody, and he buys one present for his mom because she was there too. I think that would be nice." - The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.
Reading Regret:
Giving up not finishing a lot of classics that I needed to read for school/uni, instead of sticking them out and finishing them like a real man. lolz. no but srsly. I didn't even DISLIKE Jane Eyre and I haven't finished it yet. Same with Dracula.
Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):
Percy Jackson & The Olympians. It's on the top of my TBR, don't worry!
Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:
A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by CS Lewis, Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro
Unapologetic Fangirl For:
Jaclyn Moriarty and Sophie Kinsella. And Narnia, DUH!
Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:
The last book in the Colours of Madeleine trilogy by Jaclyn Moriarty, A TANGLE OF GOLD! I'm so excited. SO EXCITED! The cover was revealed recently and it's stunning.
Worst Bookish Habit:
Not reading enough. SMH.
X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:
First shelf: Dear John - Nicholas Sparks
Second shelf: Catching Fire - Suzanne Collins
Your latest book purchase:
Once Upon an Alphabet by Oliver Jeffers
ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):
I can't remember! These days I just love sleeping more than most things in life. I can't remember the last time I stayed up til crazy o'clock reading a book. It's been too long.
