The Time Will Come #5 (& Fairest of Them All #4)

The Time Will Come is a Thursday book meme which began at Books for Company, where we pick a book we've been meaning to read but haven't got around to yet, one that's been sitting on our shelf gathering dust for a while...

Fairest Of Them All is a cover comparison blog feature where we look different covers of the same book and discuss which cover we like most!

Elixir by Hilary Duff

I got this 70% off at the Angus and Robertson administrative sale, so I was pretty chuffed about that. :)
I've heard quite a few positive things about this novel, and I've youtubed a few Hilary Duff interviews, so I know that she tries to make sure everyone's aware that she didn't write her book on her own (despite the single name on the cover!).

I'm not sure when exactly I'll have time to read this but it's definite there on my TBR list.

I went to Target yesterday and spotted a new cover of Elixir on the stands...

I don't know if this is actually that new a cover but I hadn't seen it before. The girl reminds me of Hilary's sister, Haylie Duff and I don't normally like models on book covers so I'm not sure how I feel about this...
Also, even though blue is my favourite colour, the colour of this one seems a bit dated to me. But I do like the film detail in there.

Have you read elixir

Fairest of them all #3 & The Time Will Come #3

This Thursday I thought I'd mesh these two memes together again. I thought of a really good book I've yet to read, and a new version (including cover!!) came out recently so I wanna know your thoughts!

So I guess you have probably heard of this one....

Fairest of them all #2 & The Time Will Come #2

Happy Thursday, blessed blogosphere buddies.
It's Thursday, as I mentioned, and that means it's time for The Time Will Come (started at Books For Company).
I thought of a great book to share this week, but it also fits in with my cover vs cover meme, Fairest of Them All. So I decided to join them together. :)

FAIREST OF THEM ALL : Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver

Fairest Of Them All is a new weekly (maybe fortnightly or monthly) thing I made up a few hours ago, where we get to compare the different covers of the same book. Whether it's UK vs US vs AUS or even foreign-er than that, like we're doing today.
Sounds fun... maybe?
(I know this is already sort of a popular meme of a different, more boring title, but I wanted my version to have a cool name! ;) If you know of the pioneer, feel free to link me up and I'd be happy to give them the credit for the idea)

This week: Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver

To be honest, the model featured on the generic British cover didn't really 'wow' me whatsoever... but the girl in the Dutch version seemed to embody Samantha Kingston much more realistically. Plus I like that she's kinda upside down!
The French cover is a little blah but I quite like the Slovakian cover for some reason...

Even though the British cover is the one we've grown to know and love, my vote for the fairest of them all goes to the Dutch cover.

Which is your favourite?
